While a buyer is not required to be present at a home inspection, it is a very good idea to be there. Following the check-over, the home inspector can answer any questions you may have and discuss problem areas with you. This is also an opportune time to get an objective opinion about the home from someone who does not have emotional or financial ties to the property.
This inspection and report from the home inspector will help you and your REALTOR® negotiate the repairs request that you will be submitting to the seller.
